John Norton

John has amassed nearly 20 years of transactional expertise, primarily advising owners of privately held companies on both the buy and sell side. 

 

Prior to joining PennSpring Mergers and Acquisitions, John was the founder and managing partner of Norton Jackson, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisory firm. 

 

Before founding Norton Jackson, John served as president of the Lehigh Valley Easy Pages, a multimedia and business directory company based in the Lehigh Valley. He identified the investment opportunity, raised the capital and was responsible for all operations of the business up to its sale to a strategic acquirer in 2013.

 

Prior to LVEP, John was the president of Paradyme Corporate Advisors, a mid-market mergers and acquisitions firm based in Harrisburg. Notable transactions included the sale of Bryfogle’s Nursery to Hines Horticulture, a portfolio company of Madison-Dearborn Partners, the sale of Hauck and Sons to a strategic acquirer and a $30 million raise to fund the start of Clearshot Communications, a wireless tower operator.

John began his M&A advisory career working for Acquest International, a boutique investment banking firm based in New York City and Philadelphia. His primary role was to work with some of the country’s leading private equity firms on consolidation plays. He worked with firms including Golder Thoma GTCR, Keystone Capital Inc., Hudson River Capital and The Louis Marx, Jr. Group.

John earned a Bachelor of Arts from Lock Haven University. He lives in Harrisburg and enjoys playing tennis and learning to fly. He is a founder of the Harrisburg Young Professionals
