Personal

Born and raised in Lancaster, Sam moved away following graduate school to pursue his career in Philadelphia, New York and Hong Kong, and returned to Lancaster in 2005. He has three adult children and eight grandchildren, and is the author of two collections of short fiction. His family has lived in Lancaster since 1750.
